I havn’t finished yet but I also centered the cards and put those perfect fit sleeves so that might be ones helping take up the empty space. Hint: I like Dark Charizard lol

Decided this would make for a good Saturday project. Went to Hobby Lobby and picked up one of those 7x28" frames for $15 (priced at $30). As well as a yard of black felt and a small bag of Poly-Fil. Cost $21 in total because I had a 40% off coupon for the Poly-Fil.
I cut a piece of wood as a center divider. Then wrapped felt around the wood. Also used felt as the backdrop and stuffed with Poly-Fil. For bottom spacer, I just put pieces of cardbard behind the backing felt. Stuffed tight enough that it was a little tough to seal the back - don’t want those cards moving around.
Overall happy with the outcome, and it will be easy enough to swap cards out.
Things I would improve: having horizontal wood shelving between all the cards would be nice. Could add UV spray to the frame glass.
