How would you guys compare these two against each other? Value wise and set wise. Personally I feel they are on the same level or close to it.
That 1st edition stamp does wonders to a box. Oh and also Shinings

Last Skyridge sale I know of was 2 weeks ago for $8,500. Neo Destiny I’d peg $2,500-$3,500 lower.
$8500? That seems quite a bit over the top
Where else are you going to find one? I don’t know anyone selling right now. That was cash paid in person too.
As long as people keep paying higher individual pack prices, the booster box prices are going to keep going up. At least until the rafflers can’t make money off cracking boxes.
That price is still less than $300 a pack. If I told you a single Skyridge pack sold for over $300, it probably wouldn’t shock you that much.

I offered £5000 which is $7000 for the 1st Edition Neo Destiny box currently on eBay, it was declined.

Yeah but neo destiny 1st ed packs go for the same price as skyridge hence the gap difference in the box prices seems very weird
Does the charizard in the set influence the price difference?
I’d say Crystal Charizard definitely has an influence; there are several PSA 10s currently listed between $4000 and $6000 on Ebay. The last one sold for roughly $3700 (best offer was accepted). A 1st Edition PSA 10 Shining Charizard, by comparison, sells for between $2000 and $2500.
Despite Neo Destiny having Shining Pokemon I’m leaning more toward Skyridge. Skyridge was the final WOTC set ever and is incredibly scarce. Most of the big Pokemon collectors are interested in the early stuff and WOTC era, meaning Skyridge is an absolute must have at some point. Skyridge is a huge piece of Pokemon history.
I barely even remember seeing Skyridge in-stores as a kid come to think of it. After Aquapolis I began to fall out of Pokemon and into Yu-Gi-Oh! but I do remember Skyridge not sticking around for long at retail stores.
Actually there’s a crystal charizard PSA 10 up for $3499 buy it now and the last Sold was $3,349. Card is worth $3500 at best at this current time
