Team Rocket member. Nah just kidding that’s my dream job!
I worked in a busy retail environment for 5 years. Couldn’t stand the angry customers and rampant theft (our store, to avoid lawsuits, would let thieves run wild and basically take whatever they wanted), but the overall experience had it’s benefits. You do learn a lot about people, and your coworkers are probably the best ones you’ll ever have. That said, though, going back to customer service is something I would do everything in my power to avoid.
Septic service would not be for me. A friend of mine owns a septic service in our town. He pumps septic tanks, porter potties, anything involving human feces is how he makes his money. He makes a lot more than I do, but is it worth it though? I get grossed out plunging my own toilet. I can’t imagine what he goes through.
Chef, My dad was one and so I learned from him. Straight outta High School I went into one of his friend’s restaurants who had tried my cooking and wanted me to work for him. Did it for 6 months then quit. I was making tons of money but it was a headache. I despise cooking for other people now, it’s just not fun compared to cooking for yourself or friends.
