Just got this back from AFA Grading (The same company that does VGA Video Game Grading).
I’m very thrilled to add this beauty to my collection! The front edge on the box had some minor whitening, which kept it from getting a 90+. I wish I had kept some other older Pokemon Toys I had sealed. It would have been nice to have them graded! Anyone else have any graded Pokemon Toys?
I had no idea toys were being graded now too, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised given how the grading craze has exploded over the past year or two. Interesting way of sprucing up a collection/display though. Do you have an idea of how to display it in your collection? And how big is that case it’s in? Looks pretty big haha
I’ve been wanting to get my old monster collection figures graded too. How long did it take for AFA to get this back to you after sending it in?@jbcollectibles,
Like every grading company, they are backed up right now. It took 4 months to invoice me, about 4 weeks to grade and then 1 week to ship back. They have closed the lower service levels so it’s best to wait for a while for them to add them back. I paid $80 USD for it to grade and an extra $10 usd for them to clean it. No chance I was taking a chance cleaning it myself and scratching the surfaces! I had them used my personal FEDEX number to return it. It cost me about $90 Canadian to ship it back (I’m in Canada).
