Outside, on some limestone bricks that form a retaining wall, so the lighting was good.
The slabs have teambags/sleeves over them so it was fine. It’s the same spot I usually take photos just I usually prop it up against a plant pot, just the lighting there isn’t great.

First updated in a little bit. I haven’t been buying many cards at all for the last few months, as I was madly saving for my recent trip to Japan (February). However, whilst in Japan I did have adequate spending money and will share a few Pokemon merch items I picked up visiting the various Pokemon Centres around Japan.
I went to 5.5 in total: Tokyo Sunshine City, Tokyo Mega DX, Sapporo, Kanazawa, and Osaka (also Tokyo Station which is like a Mini Pokemon Centre). I was a little let down at how little the variation was for themed merchandise pertaining to each Pokemon Centre. For some reason I expected there to be a reason to visit each one outside of the obvious theming differences in the shop set up. The only centre that had unique merchandise was the Kanazawa location. My partner bought a Kimono Pikachu. I did get a few cool things, though.
I didn’t buy many actual cards in Japan this time around. There aren’t any deals to be found that you can’t find on Yahoo Japan for cheaper or similarly priced. The experience of going into a card shop is still very fun, but with the shop staff being actively on Yahoo Japan and other sites checking prices(saw this multiple times) on inventory they were sorting, and your average Pokemon card consumer being much more clued in and attentive to the money aspect of collecting. The fun of finding something unique, even at market price, is lost.

Sent two PSA submissions during the $15 dollar special and received the first lot back today. Thought it was time to update the thread. Just a quick note. Bless PSA for now doing high res scans of all cards graded. I can’t take photos for peanuts so it helps a lot. It is a mix of Pokemon, and Dragon Ball related cards.
The Dramatic Art DBH cards are quite special for me as I purchased them through an arcade machine myself whilst in Japan in February. I love how simple and uncluttered they are.
These are cracked from CGC and regraded with PSA. Both were CGC 9s.
More Pokemon:
The big thing recently is that I was able to secure ‘tegata’ of the best sumo wrestler of all time, Hakuho Sho. Sumo wrestlers will do the run of the mill signature for fans publicly, but the more traditional (and frankly cooler way) is to do a hand print + caligraphy signature onto a board and give them to fans that way. Luckily, I have contact with a photographer/reporter/commentator who works in the sumo wrestling circle and he had a few to sell recently and I got in early.

I have always thought of going an ‘All my graded cards in 1 photo’ type thing. Where I can get a scope and share exactly what I have. I had the motivation to do it today, but quickly realised that laying them all out on the floor would have required a very large open space. I do not have such space I can do this freely, so it ended up being 5 photos.
Some of my collection is organised to be with each other in storage. The obvious ones like my Crystal, and Shining cards etc. But quite a lot of it is KIND OF grouped together in graded card storage.
I sumultaneously feel like I have a lot more, but also a lot less than I realise. It seems like it isn’t much but I know that, relatively, it is quite a large collection. This is basically every graded card I own, outside a few stragglers sitting in my computer desk draw that I have forgotten about.

It’s difficult to see how that can be lot less than one thinks they have, that’s a massive amount of slabs 
Any interesting story on the Dpt Shiny Pokemon? Did you grade them yourself? Pull from a pack?
How about those Stormfront Charizards?
Yeah, it is a contradiction in the most obvious way but also in other ways as well.
I do not display my collection at all. All of my collection is kept away in a spare room and in storage at all times so it can be easy to ‘forget’ the scale of your collection in this way.
Most of my collection is self-graded and bought as singles. However the DPPT shinies are a mixture of buying singles and then grading, or pulling from boxes. A few of them are from when most DPPT booster boxes were between 80-150 AUD and I opened quite a few of them. The only one that I bought already graded is the Electabuzz. The Relicanth is, I think, still a Pop 2.
Stormfront Charizard is one of the best Charizard artworks and is also one of my favourite cards overall. I’ve chased the PSA 10 for the 1st ed for a while, and have had multiple attempts at grading them myself but only managed to hit 9s as a max. I’ve had opportunities to just buy the 10 but I never commited.

Superb showcase and thanks for sharing. The L-P lottery promos for the legendary beasts trio, did you garde the cards yourself? I ask just out of curiosity since I don’t have them in my collection and they are hard to come by.
Also, are you strict on the grades when you collect or would you rather have the card?

My L-P lottery beasts are not self-graded. They were all aquired as part of a trade, and I have 2 of the remaining 3 sitting in PWCC vault.
I will admit that I am prone to grade-chasing, but this has more greatly effected me in the past than it does these days. I mostly just collect modern cards and I have such a deep backlog of 2013-2017 era cards that will be graded at some point that it’s relatively easy to passively afford that. It also makes it 100x easier to hit 10s and not be salty when the brand new modern pull gets a 9.
I am generally quite goaless when it comes to collecting Pokemon cards, especially now. I just buy new cards that I like, that aren’t absurdly priced.
My collecting is a mix of ‘collection’ and ‘That is easy to make a profit off’ and when I send PSA subs I send a mix of those two things so that grading doesn’t usually ‘cost’ me anything. If you get what I mean. Most of my profit driven purchases are for the long game as I simply do not have the patience or drive to do the quick flip or quick sale type of selling. I also love it when a card that cost me 20 dollars 6 years ago now sells for 400.

Cleared out my PWCC vault. I had been meaning to for some time but the issues with the service lately promoted me to get on with it. Some lovely cards came to me that I have been waiting to have in hand for over a year. Thank you to @gemmintpokemon for helping me out with handling them.
I’ve always really enjoyed the Pikachu Pokemon Centre Promos, but never delved much into collecting them.
I suck at taking photos of cards but there wouldn’t really be much I could do to do this Goku card justice. It looks so incredible in person with the texturing and details.
This image is probably the most important one, in terms of my collection. I’ve had it as a goal of mine to get this trio together, as I believe they are the 3 chase cards for any BW FA Collection. I’ve had the Mewtwo sitting in my vault for months and now I can finally take this photo. I rarely complete goals but I am so happy I finally made this one happen.
The 25th Anniversay Final Fantasy Art Museum release this year was hotly anticipated for (the dozens) of Final Fantasy card collectors out there. The set itself was perhaps a little bit of a let down, but it contains there 3 magnificent Tetsuya auto cards that really pop. I pulled the Sephiroth myself and bought the 2 Clouds.

Nice collection, looks very similar to mine! I was debating on where to send some of my Final Fantasy Cards, they look good in the CGC cases but I know they just did an overhaul of the look for the case (black). This may look even nicer since the backs of them are Black as well :).

I think they’d look very nice with the new CGC labels! I was sending my Final Fantasy cards to CGC originally because they acually label Wave 1 cards properly for Opus 1, whereas PSA does not label correctly meaning the pop report is horribly inacurrate.
