I am currently in Japan and the McDonalds Pikachu is the card I’ve (by far) seen the most in card stores. Some stores even have entire cabinets dedicated to it.
I’ve been tracking this card a ton on the PSA ebay. BIN’s went as low as $54 last week but have, somehow, risen back up to $59. Has the floor been found or have investorbros decided 180k pop isn’t enough to hold down the price?? Time will tell
Pikachu and exclusive is always a win. It is really a hard thing to beat in this hobby. Across the board, in secondary market, Pikachu cards are slowly up ticking.
Its the sort of scenario where if you told me in 2030 it was $300 I’d be like, okay sure. Exclusive, Pikachu. But its just shocking to me that the narrative about the card seems to be purely about how many have been graded, how abundant it is, how the first buyers are getting wrecked on price etc. And yet its still rising
A ton of auctions ended yesterday at like $59 + $5 shipping. That’s not far from where it was just a few dollars under. Not sure if anyone is trying to big brain this but I doubt it will ever go below $50 in a PSA 10
