I can see how the pikachu sells for 70-100, not that I am interested. A YouTuber opened 50 packs and did not get a pikachu. If you’re looking for a specific card, it can be challenging. I think this card will do better than what people think.

FOMO is a dangerous this when it comes to these, and people coming into the hobby now in general.
Kids went on a play date today, so I jammed over to a buddies house and we exchanged a few boxes for McDonalds cards (feel dirty saying that).
Gave him 1 Hobby box of 2019 Topps S2 baseball in exchange for 125 packs. I feel horrible doing it, but at the end of the day I’m just tired of having to explain to my kids why we can’t find product “x” at the moment. They’ll have something to open over the next few weeks (only 5 per day to open after school) and I won’t get harassed to go on constant Target runs.
I got 5 for 8$ each just because the promotion won’t run in my country and I want to enjoy opening them, it’s annoying but I can understand people not skipping such an opportunity especially in such times

My friend gave me the whole set holos included today. Apparently he managed to get packs individually at a McDonald’s.
Something about this art with the holo pattern really does it for me. Beautiful! My favorite in the set.

@bluebulba, I ended up buying two packs and pulled the Torchic as well. Probably the best looking from the entire set I’d say.

Nice @azulryu ! Yeah when I saw some openings on YouTube, Torchic became the chase card for me. Glad you got one too.
I have to say, I know these are reprints, but they picked great arts for the first three generations. Too bad they didn’t do the same for X and Y…

Why do you want to buy the packs? For your personal collection, or cos stonks?
If it’s the former, then just buy them if you can afford them.
If it’s the latter, well then to the friggin moon boyz, 30k by christmas, hodl, errday hustle, big brain investmuhnts, etc etc.

I like the pack artwork and the cards, so I figure the prices will go up in future.
I’m looking at bulk prices, and it seems those prices have been increasing.
I’m at work and just had a co-worker hand me a few packs that her kiddo didn’t want. Pulled the holo Pikachu (holo bleed too). I am so happy.
