Fun fact: tonight on April 17, 2026 is a new moon in Japan

The late set announcement at 6pm may have attributed to it, and the official card channel did a small skit talking about cards with the lights off

Does this mean a lot of the Pokemon depicted would have a more sinister vibe? Like Dark Pokemon? Like the Zarude and Chi-YU depiction seems to be aggressive. Would be interesting.

I think so, from the way they presented cards on page “other types of evil Pokémon will appear”. Although by TPC’s standards with other main expansions, a third of the Pokémon in this set might have this theme (just to temper expectations)
