I am beaming :star_struck: I need an entire binder page of this card!

Lunatone R is also the art used for build & battle.

Also Bouffalant was already used for Terastal Festival hence no repeat here.

I feel the illustration rares + secret rares are oversaturated, they have to keep one-upping or doing something really new cuz there are so many. I wish they made a few less and were more restrictive on what gets through

this set just gets better and better

Will Rayquaza be a rare or a uncommon card?

Good question, it is a holo but does not have a rarity tier

  • All non-Pokémon ex cards do not have a rarity tier
  • So far 6 unique mirror foil types have been discovered, so that might have a role in why they don’t have a rarity tier
1 Like

Wait, this is the second art Galstrier has gotten if we’re not including Calyrex. Very cool

How many foils types could Rayquaza have?

I’m uncertain which cards qualify for which types of mirror foils so my guess is,

  • Energy type (Dragon)
  • Poké Ball
  • Friend Ball
  • Quick Ball?

@inertgeometry alerted me to the possibility that the variety of Balls found here could be linked to the Poké Ball Boutique in Legends: Z-A

Friend Ball is an apricorn ball, which aren’t found in the Poke Ball Boutique.
From what’s shown so far:

  • Budew: evolves via high friendship into Roselia; Friend Ball increases friendship gain. Also color matches.
  • Galarian Linoone: evolves at night into Obstagoon; Dusk Ball has a higher catch rate at night or in dark places. Also thematic (dark types, night).
  • Bisharp: this one is the odd one out so far. Quick Ball has a higher catch rate at the start of battle, but that doesn’t really connect to Bisharp’s evolution method, at least directly. It does get Sucker Punch, but I don’t think that’s it either. Bisharp also only has base 70 speed, which is slow.

Yet another line that only goes to the stage 1 with the competitive relevant ability and skips the final evo. Also surprised to see Steven’s Metagross/Marnie’s Grimmsnarl and relevant cards didn’t get reprinted here.

It is normal for deck cards not to get reprinted into the main set, with the exception of Stellar Sylveon ex (with alternate artwork) in Terastal Festival ex. They receive special art versions instead

Before the leaks start what are everyone’s guesses (or wishes) for new AR cards?

I’m hoping for diglett/dugtrio, slugma/magcargo, and misdreavus to fill out gen1/2 slots. Also a connected dratini, dragonair, mega dragonite

Edit: NOOOO only one spot between spiritomb and zekrom :sob:

Mag/Slug as well, along with Rayquaza, Beautify, Silcoon, and Cascoon for me

5 spots before Psyduck for grass and fire types, really high chance for budew

I NEED RAYQUAZA!!!

I can’t stop winning, I’m insanely excited for this set!!

@koala Have any new ball reverses been spotted?
