yes, i do agree, the only BGS grade to consistently beat out PSA 10 prices are the pristine 10. even a 9.5++ might only hit around PSA 10, or a little more. 9.5+ is almost certainly below 10. quad 9.5 is a large percentage below. 9.5- is usually just barely above psa 9 value. this is why there are a lot of cross graders of PSA 9 (strong) to try to hit something in 9.5 territory to get that value upgrade.
Mangos are amazing. Tough to get super good ones here in MN, but I’m going to Florida in a couple months and they’re always very fresh. So… I got that going for me…Which…is nice.
Well, if we’re being technical, the OP didn’t post a price offer, and then it turned into a Price/Market discussion. The Mangos really should be in the General board (possibly Sour Grapes depending on your last Mango experience or lack thereof), the BGS 9.5 pricing debate should be in the Price/Market discussion, and the OP should have posted an offer price. So really, the Mangos topic belongs here just about as much as anything else I’ve seen
I have a 8.5 BGS Mango freshly graded, pop 1. Has 10 on the centering, super ripe inside, 5 on surface due to a couple bruises, and the edges are a pristine 4. I would also match OP’s offer of $6,000 for my oversize fruit. And since there are zero corners, they gave it a overall 15.
The last person I met trying to sell one of these would only take 17K. That’s on the high side in my opinion, but it’s a guy with a decent-sized store and he can sit on the card as long as he likes.
