List of all TCG cards that exist for a specific Pokémon

@qt1 @macroplays The lists are done.

If you see any missing or incorrect, or have a question about a specific card in the list, lmk.

I just noticed that this list is missing WOTC Black Star Promo 49 which features Eevee

Cheers

I think Quuador’s lists only contain cards which include the given Pokémon in its name. This would be a Snorlax card.
I’m very slowly working on the opposite of this which maps all of the Pokémon contained in the artwork of other English cards but excludes those which are named - with this if you searched for Eevee you’d be given this Snorlax card, but if you searched for Snorlax it wouldn’t appear.

@pichufan is indeed correct. I do have some lists where I mention other cards that feature the Pokémon in the artwork at the very bottom (i.e. Chansey; Gengar; Magikarp; etc.), but I will have mentioned that. Eevee isn’t one of them, so all cards in the list are actual Eevee TCG cards; so excluding other TCG cards featuring Eevee or non-TCG cards.

@pichufan Ah good to know. I had seen the Chansey master list and figured that they all included the cards where they were featured as well. I was going to work on a script that generates a list of all cards that the specified Pokemon shows up on. We might have to collaborate on that to save us both some time

Thanks to your list I realized I’m missing three more cards than I thought. :open_mouth: Hunting down Japanese unlimited cards is such a pain.:sob:

Hey @quuador, if you get a moment could you do a Magnemite list? Thanks!

I always see you doing so many projects and that’s just for the Pokémon side of things. You also have your puzzles and job as well so what does your TODO look like? I wouldn’t be surprised if end world hunger and achieve inner peace are on their too with how many projects you take on. I think I speak for everyone when I say we all really appreciate all you do for the hobby and all the time you put in even with other obligations in life.

It’s not as bad as it sounds tbh. I don’t collect twisty puzzles anymore at this point in time, and actually plan on selling halve of them soon to fund my Pokémon collections. As for work, my job doesn’t require too much work outside of work hours except for overworking on some days, so most of my evenings and weekends are free in terms of work. Of course I don’t spend all my time just on Pokémon and creating lists for others, haha. But creating a list every now and then which takes 45-90 minutes depending on the Pokémon is no problem to fit in usually.

Do you have any good sources for buying Portuguese cards? Other European languages are fairly easy to find but I’m struggling with these, I’m guessing they’re not actually released in Portugal?

Np. And you’re indeed correct. Portuguese cards were released in Portugal up to and including the ex era (i.e. EX Emerald and EX Team Rocket Returns), but all modern sets are exclusively released in Brazil for the Portuguese language. So you’ll probably have to find someone from Brazil willing to help you with the Portuguese cards you’re looking for, for example through a FB group or other social media.

@coil The Magnemite list is done. Now I know why I had the most cards of Magnemite after Pikachu in my childhood collection… There are loads of them, haha. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you! I didn’t realize how many Magnemite cards existed and now I’m mildly terrified if I ever go for a full set. Out of curiosity, would you happen to know the reason for the multiple codes in ADV era? Different print numbers? And I’m guessing all non English/Japanese reverse holo patterns match the equivalent English/Japanese (where applicable) set?
Also a couple minor errors I hope you don’t mind me pointing out:

  • Japanese 110/DP-P Holofoil Promo seems to be listed twice

  • Blue Shock is spelled as ‘Blue Chock’

  • The 2019 French McDonalds’ releases have French twice (‘French French McDonald’s Collection 2019 23/40 non-Holo’)

Ah, the second 110/DP-P was a copy-paste error, I’ve removed it. And I’ve fixed Chock to Shock. As for the French French McDonald’s Collection 2019, that was done on purpose. The set itself is called “French McDonald’s Collection 2019”, which is different than the regular “McDonald’s Collection 2019”. So it’s indeed a bit redundant to mention it twice, but the first is for the actual language, and the second for the set name.
I’ve also added two Korean cards I forgot about.

I didn’t knew there were this many either when I started. There are a bunch of sets which contain more than one Magnemite, like Gym Heroes, EX Dragon, Stormfront, etc. And quite a few sets in general during the EX era with a Magnemite, of which most have the additional codes, which quickly adds up when you have multiple languages.

Tbh, I don’t know. I think it has something to do with the Gameboy games, but I’ve never heard a good explanation for these codes. All I know is that most EX era English sets will have three codes for non-Holo Commons and two codes for non-Holo Uncommons and Energy cards. Here a list of all English EX codes someone on Efour once compiled. And for most Japanese sets it’s four codes for the non-Holo Commons, and two for non-Holo Uncommons and Energy cards. Unfortunately there isn’t a similar list for those codes, though.

Not always. In general, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, and Russian (where applicable) follow suit of the English releases, and Korean usually follow suit of the Japanese releases for the BW era and onward. There are however some Spanish and Portuguese sets which lack Reverse Holos, like almost all Spanish sets during the DP era, or all Portuguese sets during the BW and XY eras. Also, midway through the Sun & Moon era, the Korean sets started having Reverse Holos unlike most Japanese sets. So although it mostly follows the English/Japanese releases, there are some exceptions regarding Reverse Holos.

Ah, I should clarify that I meant the actual reverse holo patterns on the cards themselves, like I’m guessing the Korean SM reverse holos either have the same reverse holo patterns as the English reverse holos or they’re just plain mirror reverse holos. Interesting how reverse holo printing isn’t consistent though.

Ah ok. No, in that case they’re not the same. Korean and Japanese Reverse Holos are almost always the plain mirror versions. The other languages are the same as English, which differs depending on the set.
