The Light Question of the Day celebrates the wonder of community and exposes the humanity in the hobby. Questions are many times open ended and up to interpretation. Feel free to post your thoughts in as much or as little detail as you’d like. Questions are purely meant for encouragement purposes and not offense.
Helpful Considerations may or may not help some people focus their answer, these are blurred to not bother those who have their own ideas.
opening the light qotd to see the most loaded question of all time lmao
to answer though, i would happily choose any town theme from GSC, but i would especially love the national park theme. miss me with the remake soundfonts or orchestral reimaginings though, i want the beeps and bloops
I am currently using the Azalea Town soundtrack from Gold&Silver (gameboy color) :
I thought it was a nice balance between nostalgic Pokemon tunes and just a random midi ringtone.
I’m not very sociable and don’t like drawing attention to myself but luckily that means its very rare that i get a phone call anyway!
Sometimes also use the Driftveil City soundtrack from Black & White as well since there used to be a meme that my daughter found funny a while a go and i recognised the music used was from that.
Maybe I would do the theme song to Pokemon Concierge, “Have a Good Time Here” by Mariya Takeuchi.
But I have to be careful because when I got my first cell phone I asked my spouse which ring tone I should use, and he suggested Astral Observatory from Legend of Zelda, I think because I had just recently played Majora’s Mask, and it was great… Until I got my next phone and used one of the default ringtones. Then I noticed that even though the song hadn’t been my ringtone for a while, it had cemented itself in my brain. Everytime I hear the song, over a decade later, still to this day, I jump thinking I’m getting a phone call.
Probably something from SoulSilver cause that was my all time fave.
I loved the surf theme, the Cherrygrove or Mahogany City theme or maybe the pokeflute theme from the radio.
