You’re right. For some reason I never noticed that. I still think that Latios face fits more to a jet(?) like pokemon.

Latias for me. Happy face + better shiny makes it a more likeable Pokémon to me. Very close though as they are very similar

Latios because Pokémon heroes my favorite Pokémon movie! I also started with Ruby version so yeah. I love latias for sure but latios means more to me

In a way both 50/50 as i think the regular versions id pick latios but on terms of their shiny variants then latias blows the other out the water imo.

Ok I want to start by simply saying… Latias and Latios are both my favourite legendary Pokémon, their duo is sooo cute! And I love their sibling bond it’s so adorable how much they care for one another! ORAS was the first games I played I caught Latios as my first ever legendary Pokémon and I was sooo thrilled! I loved both Latias and Latios before I played the games and I always love airplanes and cute adorable creatures so they are perfect for me! But later on, It was 2018 legends and I got my Latias from a giveaway for sun and moon and I have her transferred to my Switch with the Kyogre I also got from Pokémon Bank. I have them saved on my switch but my poor latios stayed in Omega Ruby. I miss him but his legacy will be remembered. I also have watched all Pokémon Movies but I love Pokémon Heroes’s movie soo frickin much!! As a musician, I vibed so hard to the soundtrack especially “Secret Garden” and God was Latias such a cutie in that movie! (We shall never forget the kiss Ash received 
) But seriously I love the movie. I love Italy and want to go to Venice one day. It’s my dream! But who I prefer? It’s Latias! I love her so much she’s such an adorable playful gentle legendary and that’s why she’s my favourite Pokémon. Latios reminds me of my older, wiser, experienced more intelligent brother. I’m the younger more curious but emotionally intelligent Latias! And her shiny, is one of the best! Not to say that Latios’s is still beautiful but the Yellow on Latias is just amazing!

I would pick Latias as well. That also has to do with the shining variant. The Gold Star is the better looking one for me as well. Plus, I like sassy Pokémon.
Seems like it’s always going to be close. It really shows how we can come together and love both for what they are!
