Japanese Pokemon Errors

Hey Guys,

I recently acquired a Japanese 151 Reverse Holo Mewtwo with a Holo Misprint/Error and 3 Base set Japanese Ponyta which two have border errors.

Was wondering what the value on these might be or if they are worth anything at all?

The first Ponyta is a no rarity and has a border cut alignment misprint and the second is a normal base set Ponyta with a border error.

I’m confused can you point out the error on the ponytas to me they just look oc

Can you also take a full picture of the mewtwo so we can see the full holo?

Unless if I’m missing something I think these are regular things from my understanding the ponytas are off center and the mewtwo has a couple print lines these are all normal things to happen to cards

It’s the border alignment, the first ones miscut on 3/4 sides and the no rarity one is miscut on the 2-3/4 sides also it looks like.

Here’s the mewtwo

What’s the error your seeing? If you look up this mewtwo online it should look just like that,

For the ponytas not all cards are cut perfectly, which results in off center borders, something like the the no rarity would just lower the want for it as it’s just bad centering and the regular one is a lot more oc but money wise they probably aren’t worth anything more if anything they would go down in value

The bottom of the pokeball is cut off on the second last row.

I see a listing on ebay going for like $30 USD.

Wasn’t sure if this is actually worth that…

If it’s unsold, it’s not a great indicator of price. I’ve seen a lot of this pop up in my “error” saved search but I don’t think there’s going to be a particularly significant premium on this kind of error.

You can look up sold listings with this kind of error and compare to the non error to calculate any premium

There were already 2 sold they were selling multiple of the same card

They have several other listings pokeball reverse holo 151 from this seller that all said error idk why

You can find a lot of these errors listed for regular market price on ebay right now ($1-2). Maybe someone will pay more for a mewtwo

2 sold is for the listing and I think also includes cancelled sales. It doesn’t tell you what the listing title was or the price was or when they sold either.

There are some error Mewtwo copies that sold at $10. There is just not a large market of people interested in this particular error
