Yes, their are a few listings on eBay from Hong Kong but they’re been up for a few days, so likely a lot of people share your view.
I’d love the Japanese set to match my eevee heroes master set but not at the current prices… may have to settled for English like so many others. At least the artwork won’t be missing from the binder then.
Cardrush sold one today for 648,000 JPY I believe. Pretty insane considering that’s about what you’d pay for some of the sealed lottery promos limited to 1000 released in 2010-2012…Eevee premium!
I think Pokémon missed the mark on how this was released. Releasing via a lottery is literally a money lottery, as people are getting the set and selling on day 1 for over $5,000. I am ok with limited promos for attending events or winning tournaments, but this doesn’t seem right to me. Too popular of cards to limit to a lottery.
FYI, if you are wanting these for the rarity and don’t mind the language, you can get these cards in Thai for a fraction of the cost of both the Japanese and Chinese cards on eBay.
Since there will be an English release to semi-satisfy me, it will take quite a price reduction for me to add the Japanese trio. Someday it will happen. Maybe it will get down to 1k for all 3.
I think $14k is insane for these three. They were selling for $2,000-$3,000 each within the past 6-12 months on North American and Japanese platforms. Lots of room to grow in the PSA pop report as well, with extremely high PSA 10 rates.
These cards never sold for $22,000 each. I have no clue where you’re getting that information from. Maybe it was a shilled unpaid auction on YJ by one of the large TCG stores in Japan?
The highest that they got to was around $5,000-$6,000 per card in North America. Those graphs in Yen show ~$10,000-$12,000 at the very peaks, which may or may not have been paid for (I would guess not).
