First one appears to have been removed second one is called a potluck. Description: “Potluck here! I dont know anything about these cards so could be worth alot to collectors!” No photos of the front of any cards, just of the edges of bulk, some in sleeves.
Look at their other items they have listed. Many holos and more desirable cards being sold as singles. Expect a big heap of junk in the potluck.
Surely he could overlook something decent and you may make out all right in the end, but I never bid too high on these kinds of lots, if I bid at all. Sure if it is a 0 feedback seller and the listing has only one blurry photo of a bunch of cards you may get lucky (and I have in the past), but when they claim to have no knowledge of cards in one listing, yet have hundreds of feedback and are selling other Pokemon cards are singles I just make the connection that they are likely putting a bunch of junk together to sell and trying to be vague hoping to get higher bids. Shady listing practices IMO. I sell junk like that every so often, but I show the faces of the cards and I call it what is… mixed bulk with nothing too great.
Patience will save you a lot of money. Bidding on really vague lots like the one you linked will likely not get you very far. Haste makes waste. Try to set some collection goals and have an idea what you are looking for before you dive in. Then do some research, plan and search for good deals on what you are buying. Unless you are looking at really high end or hard to find stuff, most things in general are very frequently changing hands and not too hard to find good deals on.
