Honestly I have a box that looks almost as bad as this but I know is definitely not re-sealed. Air can get through unnoticeable openings in the seal, plastic can get stretched and box deformed from mishandling, poor storage conditions can degrade the cellophane, etc. You should return it if you still can and then use the money to buy a better condition box if it makes you that uncomfortable. Did you buy it from a reputable seller?
Iāve seen authentic seals that look like that. Not saying itās not resealed but the untidyness of the seal is not a 100% givaway.
I donāt know why I was the only one leaning towards it being fine on the first page⦠but yeah. I say it is 90% fine. If I had it in my hands I could be sure, but with photos it is hard to tell. That was why I am so confused so many are confidently saying re-seal.
Are you going to open it? I wouldnāt want this in a sealed box collection really but if you are opening it there really arenāt any issues. I try to buy ugly boxes all the time as I mostly open everything I get.
Due to the box being moved around since taking it from the case the plastic wrapper can loosen up. The seal line looks very legit.
Also, sorry for once again linking to Rudy, but Rudy has a nice video on how to spot reseals using Magic as an example.
I was thinking myself that in his opening videos he often handles old boxes that are similar looking to the legendary treasures box in this thread. Very similar wear and stretching. This video is definitely informative, and I donāt think the OPās photos really show the clarity you would need to spot what Rudy mentions. A lot of the things he mentions you really need to handle the box to note or see well.
Thanks for all your thought and opinions, Iām just ganna hold it for a while and keep it.
Or open it like me
