I opened a Pokémon EX Emerald booster yesterday and now I’m starting to wonder whether it might have been resealed.
From the outside, the booster looked really good and I didn’t notice anything that immediately suggested it had been tampered with. The cards inside also look perfectly fine. However, there is one thing that caught my attention: on the top crimp seal, but only on the inside of the foil, the material looks somewhat milky/cloudy and matte. I’m not sure if this is a normal characteristic or if it could potentially be a sign of resealing.
I’ll attach some pictures so you can take a look. I’d really appreciate hearing your opinions, especially from people who have experience with sealed vintage packs.
For some additional context: I’ve had this booster in my collection for about three years. So I’m not really expecting a refund at this point. I’m mainly interested in finding out whether this appearance is normal and getting some opinions from collectors who know these packs well.

Whats the outside look like?
Im guessing its fine and the layers of the foil can separate when opening, which would give it that look. But probably wait for a more informed answer.
The pack wrappers have a thin layer of clear film on them that is extremely heat sensitive. When opening its common for part of it to peel off, but it’s usually not in a perfect shape, it’s more jagged.
It would help to see the outside crimps as well. If you have a flashlight try shining it through the wrapper and see what it looks like. The clear film can sometimes have a yellow/brownish tint to it if it has been overheated during the sealing process.
I am guessing it is just a manufacturing defect and not a reseal since it is above the crimp lines. It’s incredibly hard to reseal a pack without leaving signs of tampering.
Thank you for your replies. The booster looks completely normal from the outside, with no discoloration or anything unusual. The crimps also look normal. I compared it with my other Emerald booster, and they look identical from the outside.
When I shine a flashlight through the foil, it also looks normal. The only thing is that the foil itself looks kind of milky and matte over the crimps.
