Introduction & 1997 Carddasses - Liron Yanconsky

Hi everyone!
Thought I’d combine my introduction with sharing my recent purchase.

My name is Liron, I’m an artist / YouTuber / Author.
Got back to collecting after seeing others and getting those nostalgia vibes (:

As many others, I grew up with the original WOTC cards.
But my current obsession is CARDDASSES!

I love the idea of how these were sold from vending machines.
I love the concept of showing the pokemon stats at the back, as well as their attacks (rip Ditto & Psyduck :joy:)
And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Ken Sugimori’s art haha.

I’m oldschool like that.

In any case, my recent purchase is a Carddass lot off ebay, and I have 3 more HUGE lots on the way, including some prisms and nice ones (pretty much everything but the 000 index cards).

Here’s a snippet of what I just got:

I’m also waiting for some WOTCs, and a few Japanese Pikachu promos.
I hope to post many more updates in the future, and learn from others

Welcome to E4! Carddass is the best non-tcg set imo. The art is whimsical! Plus it’s all classic original Sugimori. And it’s pretty tough to grade as well!

I love their design so much, how it shows when they evolve etc.

Thank you Scott! I got a little lucky with this lot, it’s in pretty decent shape.
I know it’s hard to judge the condition on these from photos, so wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised (:

Really looking forward to getting these in the binder soon.

I love the prisms, bought a bunch psa 10 off Scott late last year to finish prism set. Need to start On the non prisms one day.

Just got more anime carddasses in the mail, including some prisms :star_struck:
I love them so much, the pattern is really cool.

I love this set one of my all time favourites due to the art. Some are so odd and unusual. I got the full set a part from the one special card.
