PTCG Live is enough digital Pokemon for me
Don’t even have to include TCG there.
I don’t keep track but I’m sure there have already been a few that died already. Can’t remember their names.
Right now they have Go, Masters, Cafe Remix, Unite, Sleep like there has to be a limit no?
I think people were speculating Masters was gonna get its plug pulled but seems to have received a second wind.

Am I to understand that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket does not actually have the trading card game part in it??

I will play it if my 2015 phone runs it, won’t spend real money on it cos I’m not that special, but I will give it a try why not
I liked when games had little side things. Like the cards you collect and play in Final Fantasy IX.

Owning them digitally would be awesome…if they were actually yours. If the app ever goes away then so does your collection. Doesnt really appeal to me tbh.

No, I’m purely a physical cars and video game guy. The digital cards will never be the same or as good as physical ones, IMHO.
I suppose the follow up question is, will you being playing Pokémon TCG Pocket?

It’s hard to gauge till we see the cost of a pack in game. I have no doubt it’ll be more than anyone wants it to be but if they price it well i’ll dabble in it.
Given my luck opening real packs, it’d be nice if they coded in an increasing odds to avoid pulling the same digital cards over and over. Fat chance of that though!
This, and it only allows casual battles. What exactly is the point of the app on release?
To compete with Duel Links & Marvel Snap’s casual user base

I can see this taking off and there being legitimate sales of these digital cards for more than many physical cards if there’s actually a legitimate marketplace that allows for sale/trade.
It would be nice if they had some transparency as to hit distribution with these since it’s digital. I could see a lot of people being put off because the platform is digital and people have assumptions that such things can easily be rigged.
Then again - it’s likely more random and fair than their physical release of evolving skies and fusion strike

I’ll have a go at it… I personally think they will use this app to rate ppl impression on cards and we will end up with a holiday set based on the app. Or wild thought imagine if you could redeem your digital cards for physical copies like you could pull a version of a card that allowed you to redeem it and it was capped at x amount of copies…

Probably not. To me, Pokemon Pocket is exactly like viewed collectables and skins in gaming. A nice addition to the game in question, but 1% of the reason I care to enjoy the game.
More likely there will be some pseudocurrency sell back loop where you can sell your extras back.
I’ll stick to the free packs, but I will try to get any digital exclusive Marill line cards!
I doubt I’ll spend real money though.
