Alright so I was scrolling through old forums from way back in 2009. Now although I would have been able to buy back then I only started collecting much later. So it pains me to look at how much the 1st ed base charizard in psa 10 could be attained for back then… $700!!! If anyone is feeling nostalgic I’m happy to buy one at 2009 prices
There are collectibles today selling for only $700, you just need to find the right one.
This is true. Are you referring specifically to Pokemon cards or collectibles in general?
For those of you with PSA10 1st edition charizards that are considering @spinch’s offer - I will pay DOUBLE what he’s paying #getsniped
Honestly I wouldn’t cough up that much money for one now!
Collectibles in general, talk to kids today and find out what they’re passionate about, odds are in 10 years those things will be valuable.
Edit: In gem mint condition of course…

You got me there. That is way above 2009 market value. How can I compete with that!?

You must be an well informed then, tell us what the latest fads are.
Honestly, in 2009… I wouldn’t have been able to afford it so seeing it at $700 doesn’t bother me. It’s like when you see house prices in the 90’s lol.
Well it might be too late now but i remember reading that 1st edition Elsa dolls (from ‘frozen’) are going for over $2000 now already (only been around a few years).
Imagine a little girl growing up with frozen as her fav movie. Gets to her 20s or 30s and decides to splash out on something that represents a favourite part of her childhood. So maybe 1st edition Disney movies memorabilia? These kids will grow up and may want to spend big on something that has a sentimental value for them.

Not stupid at all. Apparently an original iPod went for $20 000. And one went for $90 000 (has u2s signatures though)!

Maybe in the future it will be cool for hipsters to use 1st gen iphones like how its cool today for them to use typewriters or record players.

Haha maybe we could get PSA to encase an original COD MW2 with the inscription being the most typical phrases heard from other players online such as “Get owned bitch!” and so on.

The real money is in WAW, least popular on release making it rare and scarce plus had original zombies.
