How to get an accurate price history of a card

Hi,

I’m just getting back into Pokemon card collecting again and I’m wondering how do you go about gaining an accurate price/price history of card?

I’m aware of sold history on ebay but sometimes it can be quite confusing with shill bidding/false sales etc and you can only see sales from the past 3 months.

Any help on this topic would be appreciated.

PWCC market research. Allows you to go back 15+ years.

But I think it only works on English cards, and only goes as far back as it started scraping.

I use Pokemon Price to gauge a broader history of price progression. However, it misses a lot of sales, and when I have submitted them they never showed up. I’m not complaining - it’s a free platform and I appreciate the work that goes into it - however I’d never use it price a card for a sale or purchase knowing that multiple recent sales may not be accounted for.
