How to Add Footnotes

A new feature has been added!

You can now add footnotes in your posts. They look like this ^[1]

It can be added in two different ways

The first way defines the footnote contents right where they will show up.

Here is an inline footnote ^[I am an inline footnote]

Which will look like this :

Here is an inline footnote ^[2]

The second way

Use a name to reference the footnote and then define the contents somewhere else in the post.

This footnote is called "example" [^example]
I can insert other text here if I want
then define the footnote content later, like this
[^example]:content

Which will show up like this:

This footnote is called “example” ^[3]
I can insert other text here if I want
then define the footnote content later, like this
