Was doing some calculations using psas set pop reports, my sets 1-8 there about 700k in their registry, mostly people who shot for 10 and got 9 or 6 at worst, I expect that pop to double after their backlog, so that’s 1.5 million slabbed pop out there.
Are there 1.5 milliion collectors? possibly. I ask because I’m a small fish in the pokemon world, and I could maybe double my grading money on some common/uncommon psa 9-10s piecing them out, but everyone seems to want special cards in psa 10, although there are occasional sales for regular old wotc in good condition.
Will there be any demand for regular wotc in 10 years, 20 years, are there millions of collectors?
