Glad everyone here hates PWCC as much as me! PWCC absolutely has MURDERED the 1st edition base set psa 9 charizard price. Currently they have THREE of them listed. And most annoying thing ever is when people come to you after PWCC auctions saying oh this one sold for 4500 blah blah blah. Snow balls chance in hell im selling mine for that price lol hopefully all these damn impatient idiotic flippers that are going to PWCC will run out of high end cards soon.
Well the good news is that the three PSA 9 zards on auction are all non-new labels so that might mean those are from collections that people no loner want to hold on to. So hopefully there might be none on auction next month, get your bids in because this might be the last month PWCC has these for cheap
I don’t have enough experience to give my personal opinion on PWCC, but based on what I’ve been seeing on efour over the months, buyers/sellers relying on PWCC prices typically have a very bad time. I specifically remember one seller relying on previous sold listings of PWCC to determine the approximately value they will get from their card, and it undersold by more than 1k so that was really bad.
Yeah that was probably when PWCC auctions actually ended high. Now they are where you go to get steals. So now I would say any average Joe over here can typically over sell a PWCC price
This was my first experience with pwcc. I always saw people getting absolute steals on cards so i figured id try it myself. I bid on 36 cards and had some pretty solid max bids set to see if i could win at least a quarter of them. With 5 hours left, I was still winning around half. I then hopped on Discord to hang out for a bit while the auctions were getting snagged/timing out. I was tempted to increase my max bids as card after card was getting sniped with 2-4 seconds left. In some instances it felt like someone was using one of those sniping apps. Sure, SOMEONE was still getting a slight steal on some cards, but it sure wasnt me. Feels like if you got a snipe app you can make out pretty well. Every bid i lost was by like a dollar so it wasnt multiple people bidding up and over. I ended up with some psa9 junk 1st eds and an ungraded shadowless char when the dust cleared.
What confused me the most is why they would have the same cards and grades competing against each other at the same end times and auctions. In almost every instance, there was a substancial disparity in the ending prices. Also, i feel like if you own these cards, it hurts the market value youre accustomed to 9/10 times and you prob start hetting lowball offers due to the price grabs from pwcc.
Long rant short, it wasnt special, not what i thought it would be, everything prob gets sniped from the same handful of people unless you overbid, and if you own cards to sell, you probably find pwcc to be cancerous.
I’m kinda new to it but I don’t even bid t first. I just watch them and wait until like the last 20 min ad then i do max bid. I won a lot of them the other night. After i got.notifications i got outbid, i just immediately went back and changed. It was a stressful 20 min haha
Yeah, the concept of “have a max bid that you wont go over, it’s that simple” is kinda bullshit when someone else can win by $1 more on everything in the final 2 seconds. I like the snipe idea better from now on. No bidding early with max bids. No camping out watching things tick down.
You do realize that regardless of if you proxy bid $90 with 6 days left or if your snipe $90 with 3 seconds left that a bid of $91 will still beat you right? That is regardless of whether the $91 was a snipe or a proxy.
Yes but I’m usually just bidding against 1 sniper and when they only have 15 minutes to warm up to what they’re wanting to post as a max bid, it’s a little diff than when I start with a max bid 5 days earlier in the process. There were a few that I caught in the final 2 seconds, rebid and was winning, yet somehow magically lost in “OT” once I thought I surely had won when receiving the “you’re winning!” in the final moments after rebidding.
