I organize my cards by set using DEX Protection 9 and 12-pocket binders (and the occasional Dragon Shield Codex for the bigger modern sets). I currently have 22 binders for 22 sets, I only get a binder if I have at least half the set…but I actually need more and I’m running out of shelf space, so I’m looking to expand.
Within the binder I have each card in an Ultra Pro penny sleeve, open-side down. Regular set on one side of the page, reverse holo set on the other side. Ultra rares from BW-onward get a copy on both sides of the page for consistency, but full arts and beyond only get one copy. For the 12-pocket binders, each card in the standard set minus full arts, rainbows, etc gets both the normal and reverse on the same side of the page, meaning each 12-pocket page only has 6 different arts. Of course, this means I need duplicate copies of the regular ultra rares in these sets as well.
Got one of these recently pretty reasonable off eBay for graded cards. Holds 60 slabs. My raw stuff I store in a variety of binders/boxes. I’ve gotten quite a few card boxes from bulk orders over the years so I have plenty of storage.
@davie, no doubt. I’ve definitely seen a lot of options around. I just liked the aesthetic of this one and the quality seems solid. I think the same company that makes them is selling for nearly twice this price when I looked it up. I guess for me when I’ve spent $100s or $1000s on some cards, it doesn’t hurt to have a fairly nice box for them but in the end it’s just a box
