How do YOU collect/invest?

Yeah some Japanese promos look amazing

It was really weird to see some of the exclusive Best of XY full arts as just regular collection box promos in Englis, although my main gripe is that Hyper Rares and FA Ultra Rares look exactly the same. The regular ultras look better than their FA counterparts in almost every instance.

The 3D rendered art has also become a little boring. Give Arita, Masago and Tokiya some freedom to create more stylised full arts. :open_mouth:

I feel like TPCi could at the very least pick more interesting pre-release and staff promos for pre-release events.

“oh look, a stamped Mudsdale… thanks… I guess…”

99% agree with this, the 1% being the love part; I hate that shit.

I feel like more variety with the full arts with more difficult pull ratios wouldn’t be terrible, just something to break up the monotony. 1 in 12 boxes for an alternate art version of an already accessible card isn’t going to create stupidly overpriced cards.

I’ll admit that I’m a little salty my favourite artists miss out on full arts :slightly_frowning_face: Maybe in the 8th generation or the revised SM generation TPCi will revisit to the aesthetic of the HGSS generation.

I’d love to see more FAs like this. The Gardevoir, Mewtwos, Alakazam, Gyarados and Volcanion EX secret rares were a great step forward and it’s sad they axed that line of secret rares.

All charizards!! well no not quite this but mostly. I also go after the older WOTC sets for the nostalgia and sometimes if I see a bargain I Will just grab it. I did collect bits of newer sets but I realised it didn’t have the same appeal for me as the stuff from my childhood. I also like to go after the Chinese and korean base sets as I love the text on these cards.

To be honest I find it very hard to decide what cards to prioritise in my collecting as there are many collecting aims for me. And as they are mostly the older sets they are constantly increasing in price so it’s hard to decide which to go for.
