I was not aware that its population is 400% higher than that of any other S&V set. 220.000 PSA 10 cards.
Comparison: 55.000 Incandescent Arcana and 17.000 Lost Abyss
Even Eevee heroes has only 68.000

The set hits easily, has a lot of desirable cards, and getting a 10 is extremely common.
We don’t have concrete print numbers obviously, but this set had several waves over a long period of time. Even for that reason alone it’s going to have a higher pop report than something like Eevee Heroes.
Easy to grade, cards are plentiful, & the slabs sell well with okay margin for sellers
Its cool to see just how many copies of specific cards were graded. Goes to show that there is an insane amount of product printed if the Gold Giratina Vstar alt has 10k+ copies graded. Anyone know if the gold cards are any rarer pull wise, or are they lumped in with the other textured sar cards?
I wonder if we could use the graded card information to get an idea of how many boxes were actually printed. At least 13k
Many, many, many…
because japan
Since there’s mostly only 1 SR/box you can just add up all the SRs for a minimum amount lol.
Why do you post an English production picture in a thread about a Japanese set?
Also remember opening of Japanese PSA center. This has made it easier for the Japanese to get their cards graded with PSA. We’ll see higher pops in general moving forward I think. Especially since their cards are easy to grade. I do wonder though if eventually people will catch on to how easy and the difference between raw and PSA 10 for Japanese will shrink as it probably should.
Considering that Magi and the others rate PSA 10s, that perception of it being premium should erode faster than in the West.
