@Gstiess forever has the one up on me with Battle Frontier achievements BUT I wanted to share my own childhood milestone I just finished 5 minutes ago: I got all the Silver symbols! The battle factory was the bane of my effing existence for so long but this week I was determined to crack it, and I finally did. A choice band Absol and a Grumpig with all 3 elemental punches helped me get there. I actually used the same team of Milotic Metagross and Salamence for the other 6 facilities, they’re hard to top. Next task is to home brew all the event items to get some legendaries. My brother hinted that he found me a copy of FireRed for Christmas, so a complete national Dex 385/386 (Minus Celebi which is nearly impossible without hacking because of region issues) will finally be within reach! Checking off life gaming goals…

Huge congrats, I think the Silver symbols itself are a great achievement. Are you going down the rabbit hole of all the Gold symbols as well?
Great that you also try to complete the National Dex. I for now have the 380/386 on my Emerald cartridge - as I have no Game Cube, thats the maximum I could reach (I am afraid to home brew the event items because I fear I might mess it up and destroy my save file). Still that was tedious enough as I had the complete the Hoenn Dex on my Japanese Emerald cartridge twice in order to receive the missing Johto starters.

I’ll report back on how difficult/risky this method I found was! It would help me get Lugia, Ho-Oh, Mew and Deoxys. I traded to get a Jirachi from my brother since he had the colosseum bonus disk.
Otherwise you’re right, getting Lugia and Ho-Oh on the GCN games is prohibitively tedious. Love Colosseum and XD in theory, but their pacing has NOT aged well.
Edit: No I genuinely don’t have the strength for attempting gold symbols right now, and I have lots of other games to play. I want to bask in this victory for a while
