Nice setup I do the same thing but with 4 gameboy sps feel like they are the best to stack next to eachother, I use a clicker thing to track my re’s and normally have my Ds open at the same time resetting for a gen 2 starter on virtual console pokemon crystal

Would like to try shiny hunting in colosseum but that’s so long compared with how quick you can get encounters up stacking gameboys

hey thats awesome! Hoping to up to 4 at some point. I dont usually count as it makes it less relaxing for me, but I see the appeal. What your current hunt/favorite thing you’ve hunted?

I’m planning to do Metagross in colo at some point, but yeah I’m dreading the slow resets lol

Gen 2 shiny koffing for sure my best shiny I’ve caught, something about og gen 2 sprites just so cool in my opinion the shiny animation too in that generation is amazing, I recently got a promotion where I’m working so my hunt is on and off but I’m currently hunting shiny Numel in ruby and sapphire .

The hunt will be so painful but definitely worth it when it shines

Definitely!

Shiny Koffing is amazing congrats! I’m currently after Shiny Ralts on route 102. On phase 14 atm :no_mouth:

Stay strong that’s a tough hunt there’s some decent ones there atleast like Lotad, seedot and surskit.

I wouldn’t be able to resist levelling Dratini up to get the green Dragonite. Also, having to choose which Eeveelution to evolve to? Tough decision!

Thank you I’m hanging in! I actually have repel trick cutting surskit and throughout my 13 other phases have everything else besides ralts(and a wurmple that evolves into beautifly) so I did get some good stuff!

Actually those are old pics of when I just got them. Eevee is now a Vaporeon and Dratini has become a majestic dragonair soon to be the green lad!

Nice. Vaporeon is my favourite so I probably would have gone there too. The temptation for Espeon and Umbreon would be strong though as their shiny colours are quite distinctive.

Should also add to the thread that apparently it is impossible to generate shiny Ho-oh in Colosseum. I watched a video where a modder went into the game code and showed the code and parameters that showed how the game would never award you with the shiny.

Honestly keeping it an eevee crossed my mind too. It looks so good in person the pic doesn’t do it justice

Aww, shiny Beautifly is a great one to end up with though! Shiny Beldum or Aron would be dream finds for Gen 3 games… I’ve held out that tiny bit of hope for a shiny Aron so many times when I’ve gone searching Dewford cave for Abra & Nosepass, but it’s never happened.

It’s a rule of mine that I have to add any full odds shiny to my team on that game (or at least one if there are somehow multiple), so it’s a fun way of forcing myself to use Pokémon that I might not otherwise touch on a playthrough.

Woooow, congrats!!! You have more patience than I’ll ever have for that kind of gaming.

It’s giving me anxiety just seeing “Safari Zone” on the location caught for Nidoran. I can only imagine the horror of trying to catch an encounter there!

Thank you! Very proud of the patience and collection I’ve cultivated! Man yeah Safari Zone hunting is so stressful. That is the high I didn’t post the fled shiny Rhyhorn :sob:

Hey everyone! I mentioned last week that I’m attempting to complete the national Pokedex in both LeafGreen and Sapphire. I’m actually planning on completing the national dex in every game but this is where my project is at the moment. I figured I would share this with you all since I’m sure some of you would find it interesting. I had completed the Hoenn dex in Sapphire earlier this year and last night I just completed the Kanto dex in LeafGreen.

Now I’ve got to get all of the Johto/Hoenn Pokemon into LeafGreen and all of the Kanto/Johto Pokemon into Sapphire. I’ll basically have to re-catch all of the base form Pokemon (preferably at the highest level I can find them) and trade them over to the other game. Thankfully, I completed Colosseum and XD then purified all of the shadow Pokemon so now I can trade them into both games. That should reduce quite a bit of work I have to do. For example, all of the rare Safari Pokemon are available in XD so I won’t have to try catching Chansey, Tauros, Kangaskhan, Scyther and Pinsir again. That took me long enough the first time.

My only rule is that I can’t trade Pokemon back and forth just to fill out the dex. If the Pokemon isn’t naturally in the game, I can trade it from another game and either evolve or breed it to get the other Pokemon in the evolution line. The only exceptions to this are the legendaries and Huntail/Gorebyss. You can only acquire one of their evolution items per play through and I’m not going to restart Ruby twice just so I can have those two in LeafGreen.

My second to last step is going to be building a team to tackle Mt Battle with so I can get Ho-Oh in Colosseum. I’ve never done any competitive team building in Gen 3 before and I might also use this team to tackle the Battle Frontier in Emerald. If anyone has any advice they want to share on teambuilding and what would be good for either Mt Battle or the Frontier I would love hear your input.

The final step is going to be buying the Colosseum bonus disc so I can get Jirachi

This was a long post but I appreciate you if you read through it all

I went for the easy route back in the day and just used Pokemon Box to drag 'n drop hundreds of Pokemon from one game to the next lol

That would save me so much time!! Just organizing the boxes is time consuming
