Has anyone here sold a high end item through an auctioneer vice Ebay or other platforms?
I am not asking to share the exact sale or any other statistics. I understand that they will charge you a premium, somewhat the same as Ebay but looking at the sale prices on Ebay for a Unlimited Booster Box has been around $7500 but on Heritage Auctions was $10k (maybe it is the same price after taking the sales premium). I know that is only one example, but I plan on sending an item to an Auction House because they obviously have a higher reputation and footprint. How was your experience? Any other details or insight would be great.
The base box with heritage was a single country code green wing variant. While that batch of boxes did well, heritage hasn’t earned much of a premium for Pokémon. I love what they are doing, they have big buyers, but their bidding system is cumbersome.
EBay, Pwcc and private sales currently hold record prices for most items.
