Hoping for some help to verify if this is a real card. I have no reason to suspect other than my inexperience/self doubt about identifying a fake myself. I did the crappy marking around the edge on the last one trying to get rid of the background but quickly gave up on that task lol.
Looks real to me…texture of the card is right, holo looks right, the lighting makes it a bit hard to tell, but just based on those photos I would say real.
Only if I buy it unfortunately. I’ll ask for more photos but i feel like if it’s a lighting issue might be the same results. does anyone have an example pic of a holo where the border looks different that this held at a similar angle?
It’s a completely valid suggestion and I’m definitely considering it. I’m not super used to purchasing items like this online and am not sure how easy it is to return in a situation where i discover its fake. So i’m trying to get a much confidence as possible haha
In disputes, the buyer is always favored. There is pretty much nothing you can do as a seller in a dispute even if you are selling someone authentic stuff, nevermind fake.
I’m not sure what camera or filter they’re using that’s throwing the color out of whack, however it’s authentic… Also the comment above is suggesting blatant abuse of ebay/paypal policy. Don’t buy it if you don’t know what you’re looking at.
It’s blatant abuse to return something because it’s fake?
That’s what the policy is there for, in case you buy something thinking it’s real and it’s fake.
The card is being sold as real, so if it’s fake, he is well within his rights to return it.
I really don’t see the problem here. I’m sure that Paypal would prefer you buy 100 things and return 3 because they are fake and they get to make revenue 97 times than you never bought anything your whole life because you don’t want to utilize the generous return policys…
It’s not like the seller is selling the item as ‘It might be fake, it might be real, no returns’ for $10. He is selling it as a real card.
@kaiohsan its real, just weird lighting to make the border look glimmery. But you can tell because that lighting or filter effect is homogenous. It applies to the entire texture.
But asking for better pics with daylight lighting is recommended.
