Hello!
I recently bought a large collection of various Kyogre figures and while the majority of them are unidentified to me, one in particular caught my eye since I almost thought I knew what it was. My knowledge of Pokemon figures is super limited but I’ve seen near identical ones labeled as Tomy’s Monster Collection Advanced Generation, both just loose listings and some still in packaging.
From the sale images I assumed there were two of this figure, but in person I can see that they are a little different. One has flat colors and (to my eyes) looks identical to the MonColle AG Kyogre listings I’ve seen, but the other had muted colors and a sort of silvery, glittery finish. I haven’t seen a single picture or mention of this silvery one online so I have no idea if it’s a variant, factory error, decaying plastic, or if a prior owner just dipped it in glitter paint.
Out of all my unknown (to me) Kyogre figures, this is the one I’m most interested in identifying. Partly because I thought it was one thing when it might be something else entirely, but also because absolutely nothing came up in my searches. All figures I saw had the flat colors of the other one rather than the muted shine of this one so it’s a bit of a mystery.
