You’re on the right track, but looking for something more specific.
There are other pokemon in the background that are airborne
Aerodactyl: Flying Archeops
Glaceon: Pancham looks like it’s slipping and falling and also the Feebas in the background appears to be jumping
Latias: Latios
Or was Quuador on the right track about the river? 
Rivers that start in the foreground and go until the horizon of the artwork?
