Great budget light for assessing cards for PSA

Hey ohhh! Im planning on sending some cards off for grading in the next month or 2.The lamp I have at the moment is a standard buld clip on desk lamp.I was wondering if anyone has a link to a decent light…white led? that i could buy to help properly look at the cards please.
Im from the UK but US links are fine as I can look in the UK for it.
Natural light is probably one of the best ones ha but as im new I think it might be best(plus I work so done get much natural light once home)

Thanks for reading

I use one similar to this one:

www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00VE1BJHW/ref=mp_s_a_1_7/131-3958684-3439745?ie=UTF8&qid=1493920686&sr=1-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&dpPl=1&dpID=31CRUjkhAWL&ref=plSrch

Nothin fancy just a simple clip style desk light.

Nice  I was thinking a clip on movable white led desk lamp but wasn’t sure exactly

Advantage to getting a LED flashlight, you verify cards with it.

I purchased www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0051T1SJC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 2 months ago, works a treat for finding any imperfection on a card.

For accessing cards you want harsh lighting, because that shows flaws.

Good soft lighting can and will hide flaws, heck I can make a card full of scratches appear to be mint with my professional lighting.

For me the light temperature measured in degrees kelvin or basically the white balance of the light is important. Here is a good guide for what this is exactly. I prefer something in the 4000-4500K range to give you that balanced white light color. I’m sure some of the links provided here will suit your needs though, if you don’t wish to dive into the specifics.

I use the lights on my fan in the bedroom. Don’t need to be fancy to send to PSA, just know what to look for and you can hit any angle and show most flaws.

Good man.

Galaxy s6. I dont really think i’ve ever needed a special light for examining a card. Just something bright and good eyesight.

Im an Andorid guy aswell.

Yea I dont know exactly what Im looking for (except what Ive been reading, and looked on the PSA website) So just want to make sure I have a good light to notice imperfections.Once I get goign and have more experience sending cards Ill be better at spotting.
Pictures and a general look of cards can be deceiving.I bought a bunch of japanese nm/m holo in a folder. They looked amazing in the picture, but once I change the angles and better lighting…loads of issues. It even hid bad scratches and creases ha. Extreme example but it happens!

These are the best. How do I know? I use these for pregrading and often have 3 or 4 going at once at different stations. Then my wife tried one for her sewing/knitting desk and loved it. Then two of my sons tried them and now they will use nothing else on their desks.
So four different people with different purposes love them:)
PS…no, I don’t own stock lol.

Androids? Are they still making those?

Lol!Its the OS on Samsung

What is Android?

Android is the name of the mobile operating system owned by American company, Google. It most commonly comes installed on a variety of smartphones and tablets from a host of manufacturers offering users access to Google’s own services like Search, YouTube, Maps, Gmail and more.

This means you can easily look for information on the web, watch videos, search for directions and write emails on your phone, just as you would on your computer, but there’s more to Android than these simple examples.

Oh, I see.

Is Samsung still making phones?

Who are Samsung? The robotics and weapons experts? I thought we were talking about phones?

Yes Samsung are still making phones after a failed venture into explosives :joy:

I hear the Samsung C4 did poorly after an explosive start.

 I do love my Samsung though!Wouldn’t go any other way
