Their costs are a bit higher than actual PSA costs, but (don’t shoot me if I’m wrong) include the extra overhead of shipping+custom fees. At 50+ cards you pay 8.99 GBP per card vs 8$ PSA charges.

Now when to switch from Ludkins to PSA is another question, I do believe you get shorter return times when grading by yourself? I think I was generally unlucky with my submission from end of March that’s hopefully coming back this week.
Ludkins take full advantage of the bulk submission option of PSA which have a 45 business days turnround, but Ludkins being PSA authorized service maybe they have a shorter turnround due to this. Also keep in mind that there is additional 7-14 days shipping one-way, so the whole thing with Ludkins can take 60-70 days.
That I understand, but it feels like I could’ve gotten lucky with a shorter grading time (you sometimes see members here having their bulk submission graded within a few weeks), not sure if that is true though. Ludkins does send it in separate boxes (for lack of better word) if I recall correctly and they may be returned at different dates. I’m not sure if it’s true though that with Ludkins you will generally always be waiting a long time because more submissions are going to be bunched together for their returns.
