Good LGS in Atlanta?

Hey, I’m looking for a good LGS in the Atlanta area. I’m collecting cards from Black & White, XY, and Sun & Moon sets. I’m a bit tight on $ over the next year or two, so I’m mainly focused on bulk and a few ultra rares. What are some good shops in the Atlanta area that have decently organized bulk for reasonable prices? I looked at the inventory for The Wasteland Gaming and Super Games, but both seem to have a bunch of bulk cards priced at double, triple, or even quadruple current TCGPlayer market price. Any other suggestions?

Im not sure about Atlanta, but most of the hobby currently has everyone trying to make a business out of something within the card space daily. If youre going to be strapped for cash for the next two years are you sure you want to be buying bulk? If you are sure then youre probably going to have to bite the bullet and buy for what you can find. I would recommend to not buy much unless you really like a card though. The hobby will always be here, and eventually be cheaper. I hope you can find a place!

You could try Win Condition Games in Kennesaw. But in terms of good prices for anything going online is prob gonna be your best bet. WCG has good staff though and is a fun place to hang out. Hope this helps

CardsHQ is up on Cobb Parkway

That’s why I’m focused on bulk. That way I can scratch that itch of collecting without breaking the bank. I’m currently doing an unpaid internship where I’m essentially on call 24/7 11 months out of the year on top of being a full time college student. I love what I’m doing, and it’ll pay me great money in the end, but I’m kinda forced to pretend to be someone I’m not right now. This hobby and other nerdy stuff is what keeps me sane right now.

I just prefer in person because I’ve had three TCGPlayer orders stolen out of the mail in the last year. Win Condition Games looks like my best bet though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thats an amazing commitment, and Im super happy for you. I really hope you find all the cards you could possibly want.

No problem! Sorry about the misfortune with TCGP. I’ve had 3 troll and toad orders never arrive so I feel you

Hi I live in the area, there aren’t great options for single cards usually. Most stores have the latest sealed product, but the markup is usually close to 1.5-2x MSRP.

Wasteland and Super Games are the stores with the most inventory logged online as you found, and Win Condition is ok.

Wasteland has a good selection of graded singles and a small selection of ungraded singles in their cases.

Super Games doesn’t have singles (in their case), but they have a pretty good selection of older booster packs, though I’ve never checked to see how many they have of each, and haven’t looked at the prices recently.

Win Condition usually has some singles in their case up front but it’s not very large, and they have a lot of random packs and merchandise in their shop.

If you’re coming on a weekend, Charlie’s Collectable Show is gonna be the best spot to check out singles, there are around 10 vendors that have cards and sealed product, but I don’t know how close to “bulk” they will be.

Overall I would say the market is not in a spot where LGS are incentivized to buy, list, and sell bulk cards at a competitive rate, and most focus on higher end stuff. You might be able to call some stores and ask if they have bulk boxes you can look through that they haven’t listed on their site.

Other stores to check may include Giga Bites, Kapow Comics (I know they have binders of more bulk ish cards), GuuBuu Hobby, Meeple Madness, You Wanna Smash, or Infinite Realities. Some stores only do MTG so I would call to confirm if they have Pokemon too.

I went to Win Condition and got a bunch of stuff I was looking for for some decent prices, I found about 100 cards there. I’m down to 433 bulk cards for all of the Black & White, XY, and Sun & Moon sets combined. This has been about a two and a half year process so far, but especially over the last year.
