Gold on the front, salt on the back

Just going through some old cards of mine to see if any are worth grading and I found these beauties:

And I’m violently reminded about how these cards looked straight from the pack.

Rayquaza

Landorus

Just wanted to share some salt. Also, would PSA treat these as damaged or is there a special designation for obvious print errors like the Landorus?

Made a similar thread on this issue. Yes PSA would knock down the grade.

that landorus misprint is actually kind of cool! I think thats from the texture being pressed inversely through to the back. I have a SR Emboar just like it. If its too hard to look at it, I can always take it off your hands haha

Thanks! I’m still so salty about this, these are like the only two full arts I ever pulled.

It’s nice to know there’s some demand for this lol. If it was a cheaper card I’d just give it to you.

Just another example of PSA crapping the bed

im not a fan of PSA, but those lines on the back are factory issues, and not necessarily wear and such. Usually, if the card is otherwise clean, thats an average grade for them to give, i feel.

You’re right of course, but that’s more than your standard tiny white dot or print line… The card is obviously not damaged even if it looks like it’s been sanded, so I wouldn’t go as low as 6, though 9 is obviously pushing it.

What kind of grade did you expect @pfm? 7?

I figured a card with equivalent damage would get 6 or less so I opted for the “authentic” label. I guess they missed that request though…

In my mind, the card is deserving of a “PFM 9” (maybe with some kind of designation) because it is a factory error, I’m just suprised PSA agrees.
