I am now onto gen 3 for my binder series of the complete pokedex. Basically at this point I don’t have many cards so I am wondering what your thoughts are for either completing the gen 3 cards with e-series (sapphire&ruby to ex dragon) cards or to use the remainder of the ex series sets for the binder.
As far as I am aware, neither options give me the ability to completely fill out all gen 3 cards since the ruby&sapphire - ex dragon sets did not offer 1 copy of each gen 3 pokemon (if someone could tell me which ones are missing that would be a huge help. I know the regis are and certain cards are only available as ex versions)
but using the remainder sets still doesn’t offer complete homogeneity, (salamence and dusktox missing)
Basically, niether option allows for a homogeneous binder look. Do you think its a better option to go for the e reader look?
I completed a 3rd Gen binder, like you said they stopped doing E reader cards almost in the middle of Gen 3. For all the cards that don’t have an E reader I just picked the earliest printing of that card. I’ll try and take some pictures later tonight or tomorrow night. I’m currently at work right now.
@sacari, that’s incredibly satisfying to look at, have you done this with any other generations? If so could you post pictures? I currently have my Pokedex binder set up with various different arts and EXs, Lv. Xs, etc. but after seeing this I might have to change it up.
Thank you! I have gen one complete with base set, jungle, fossil, and one promo for mew. And I also have gen 2 done all in japanese (except for 1-2 cards until I find them in japanese) since I really like gen 2 cards in japanese for whatever reason. Gen 2 is made up of neo genesis, discovery, and revelation, neo destiny is elsewhere.
I can maybe try and post pictures tomorrow.
I was asked again about my 3rd gen binder but for whatever reason the pictures I posted previously are all gone now. Anyone know why?
Anyways I am posting new pictures of my binder for all to see
@sacari If I look in the source code of your previous post and go to the image links (i.e. this one), it states: “URL signature expired”. Not sure what type of image uploading website you use, but perhaps they expire and are removed after a few days by default? The website I sometimes use to upload pictures (postimages.org/) has “No expiration” as default, but also the options to automatically remove the images after a few days. Maybe the website you use removed them after a few days by default, and you could switch it to “No expiration”? If not, maybe you could switch to another image-hosting website like imgur.com/ or the postimages.org/ I mentioned where there is no expiration of the pictures / links?
