Gen 1 Pokedex Binder Collection

As some of you may have seen, I did share my Japanese National Dex Binder this past week and people seemed to really enjoy it. So, in the same vein, here is My Gen 1 Pokedex Binder.

This collection showcases some of my favourite card arts for each of the Original 151 Pokemon and is mostly made up of Japanese but also includes some French and English cards in the mix.

Would love some feedback in order to improve it, always looking to upgrade the PC. I have a Pokedex binder for each generations, so, if you would like me to share them, let me know. :+1:
Enjoy !

Love seeing pokedex binders! I tried doing this when I started collecting again with every release, and tapped out around 2010. It’s so cool to see the multiple types of styles for each pokemon!

I really like this approach to collecting. It’s something that I have considered many times. Sometimes I only like 3-5 cards of a given species. It would be a nice challenge to limit myself to my top three favorites for each species in a given gen.

Thank you for sharing this!

Substituting these two cards would add some sparkle!

I saw your posts on reddit, I love the choices you’ve made in which cards you picked! Very nice approach to the pokedex binder.

Haha yeah always satisfying to look at a full binder !

Thank you !

I love your binder choice. I’ve been working on a similar set for a few years now, but ending with XY. I’m using three 9 pocket binders, and now strongly considering getting one this size for the whole lot. Great idea.

Overall I love this approach to collecting. Getting deeper into the business side of TCG in recent years, these kind of collecting goals really bring back the joy for me. I have the Pokedex binders - I try to pick my favorite holos for each Pokemon, or particular cards that have stories behind them. I’m also working on a 251 error Pokedex binder, and I’m going after an OC shadowless set that I might expend to an OC 151 binder. I’ve found a lot of joy in creating measurable and achievable collecting goals that have some chase and rarity to them, without creating more stacks of slabs in my workspace.
