Game Boy Advance is probably my favorite system to collect. I’ve gone back through my favorites the past few years and managed to replace 99% of my CIBs with sealed variants. Particularly mega man as I’m sure the photos will indicate. lol
Same! BN2 and BN3 are in my top 5 GBA games. BN1 was OK but not my favorite… I only have it to complete the set and because it suddenly became impossible to find one last year.
I graded them all except Mega Man & Bass. Got that one last month.
Beautiful! Have you considered going after the Korean variants of Gold/Silver? They’re absurdly rare and always command mid-to-high three figure prices. I wish I had gotten them when they were $200 each. Now they must be 5x, if any are even on the market these days…
I heard about them, but I am not because if I do I will have to chase all languages, I know myself. If I ever come across one I will try to get it but my priority now is to finish the Not For Resale! set
Love the series for the GBA, played every single one and to this day, still want some sort of remake outside of the N1 Grand Prix tournaments over discord. Such an awesome collection @inasuma!
Any games you currently have your eyes set on for the next pickup?
Yes! BN is amazing. It’d be great to have a modern port of the games. Hopefully we them on switch.
Currently no games on my radar except possibly a replacement for my 85+ Kingdom Hearts… also would like to send in some more gameboy games to be graded at some point.
Unrelated but I took a best of 2021 photo for some friends. Might as well share it here!
The Battle Network games are great. I am desperately holding out for some kind of legacy collection for the switch. In terms of modern ports though, they do all exist on the Wii U virtual console. Not as ideal as the Switch obviously, but they’re super cheap. As long as the Wii U is plugged into power and you’re nearby, you can play the games directly on the Wii U gamepad.
I just replayed 2 on the Wii U that way and it really wasn’t bad, the Wii U gamepad just feels like a worse Switch. Really hoping they come out for the Switch eventually though.
That’s awesome, @jonbo. I have all my original cartridges so I play them on occasion. Recently played BN6 Gregar (Japanese version with English dub, since it has additional content compared to the NA version). Those games are still as good as ever.
