Most of you guys are familiar with the recent boom in Pokemon prices. According to this auction www.ebay.com/itm/GEM-MINT-PSA-10-FIRST-EDITION-Neo-Discovery-Forretress-2-75-Holo-Pokemon-Card/264702245266?hash=item3da17bb992:g:hC4AAOSw4HFemNfm, the boom hasn’t really increased the price of the card significantly. Given that it has a low pop of 55, why is the price not as high as it could have been?
A boom doesn’t lead to comparable price increases in every single card. I would argue that this specific card is not a very sought after species nor particularly rare, it was an auction that was likely missed by potential buyers, so it might have been gone under the radar.

I have a PSA 10 copy that I got from DA Card World for literally 40 bucks haha
I think because it isn’t a popular pokemon in the TCG? + All of the Forretress cards have pretty boring artworks
This.
Forretress is probably the least sought after holo in Neo Discovery. Funny thing is, $167 is still double the price of what is was going for a few months ago.
