I purchased an item through a seller I deemed trustworthy on whatnot.
I dont like to buy much from that platform, but this seller appears once per week with big ticket cards and $1 starts
He showed the card on stream and noted all the white spots on the back.
I thought okay, 2 small spots. Fantastic centering and perfect from the front. This looks like a psa9 !
Even though he definitely showed the front of the card, he absolutely did NOT note the print line and i simply couldnt see anything from the angle he displayed on stream.
So i recieve the card and within 3 seconds i notice this Narly Print line running up and down a terrible part of the card.
I hate print lines and dont ever buy, even discounted.
Overall i feel a bit cheated as it was immediately noticed in person and pretty easy to show
I wanted to get this card graded…
Do i have any chance or is it doomed?
Ideally the would disclose it but as @LM23 said, I’ve pretty much never seen sellers specifically disclose print lines. It’s not actual damage to the card, similar to a card being off center. Also based off the pic, that whitening looks more like an 7/8. I think you’d be lucky to get a 9 regardless of the print line.
I think staying away from whatnot is a good move.

Finding mint or gem mint ungraded vintage cards post 2020 is HARD. English even more so. Buying online, Whatnot or otherwise, is going to be risky if you’re buying to grade. You’ll probably have more disappointment than big wins.
I don’t know your social media use level, but I know when I look at certain accounts and their “fresh grade” PSA 10 vintage cards, I’m only seeing the positives. They don’t show all the PSA 8s they’re unloading or cracking to sell raw, or the piles of non-gradable cards. They’re trying to paint a picture of that isn’t really there.
The benefit to all of this is that the supply of graded cards right now is very high! You can find PSA 9/8/7 copies of awesome cards for very fair prices, especially if you consider the monetary and time costs to attempt to track down and grade candidates yourself.

As others have echo’ed…I would think that’d get a PSA 7. The corners and edges look to have noticeable knicks.

The grading barrier is so low these days. I always ask myself (especially if the seller has lots of graded cards for sale)…why wouldnt they grade it themselves?
Plenty of PSA 9s have these printlines. They’re simply the join between two holo sheets. Imo distinct from the scratch type printlines like you’d get in Neo sets etc. I don’t think PSA marks down for these necessarily. I haven’t looked in detail at the images you gave so the only way to find out what PSA thinks is to send it in
