Sorry dude but with that whitening it’s not a PSA 9 candidate anyway (7-8 range).
The print line doesn’t change that really.

They do. You won´t get a 10 with printlines.
On topic; I would also guess this is a 6/7. My advice would be, buy graded cards or grade yourself (as in pulled cards).
Seems like the consensus here is the card has a range of 6-8.
Personally I think it would grade a 7.
Usually when buying cards, I’ve usually never had a seller mention print lines, however as a seller I’ve had many messages from buyers asking if any of the cards I have listed have any print lines.
I recommend looking listings for Aerodactyl V special full arts, it feels the printlines are feature instead of exception in these. Just an example below, 3 horizontals and left edge seems to have one vertical.
Modern has been given that exception by all grading companies since at least Sun & Moon - every holo, regular GX/V/ex, full art and special art is mass printed that way
I’ve had some amazing deals on cards on Whatnot.
I find this rhetoric that Whatnot is terrible and you should stay far far away pretty boring.
Know the prices of the stuff you are bidding/buying, factor in the risk of hard to see flaws, and do your due dilligence in vetting sellers.
I’m not a fan of the whole dip box system, so i don’t join those, its as easy as that. Some people just like to gamble.
There are bad actors on every platform…
I agree with others here. This is most likely a PSA 7. Hope for a PSA 8, expect a PSA 7, and pray that you don’t get a PSA 6.
I make a huge distinction between print lines due to factory damage and print lines due to the joining of the foil sheets (i.e., “weld lines”). Weld lines are very common in the EX era and on the affected by them.
Print lines are often disclosed by sellers but weld lines are rarely disclosed. Perhaps this is because weld lines are not actual damage, but a characteristic of the foil printing process.
Here are some illustrative examples. The images are not my own.
So i was reading up on it and I guess it’s unbelievably common in this era of cards and especially prominent in holon phantoms. Someone speculated that half if not more of these holos have this issue and that psa does not mark against them during grading as they dont see this as a factory error but rather part of the materials and process
Apparently a large portion of the psa10 population look like this. Not saying it’s a ten of course.
It’s one of my favorite gold star cards though. And I personally think it detracts from eye appeal so I may sell this off and look for a different copy
Come on chat, this card goes for $10k in a PSA 10! I’m losing money on this chat, come on chat, this is crazy bro!
they sound exactly like that
and then when bids are going lower than they want
chat… chat? CHAAAAAT!!!
Appreciate the descriptions and correct specific wording. Hadnt heard them called weld lines before but it makes sense.
I believe it was @pinn033 who first mentioned the “weld line” name in the God Tier Double Swirls thread!
I’ve spent some time on Whatnot, and I’ve definitely had my fair share of overpriced purchases. I have gotten some deals when the stream was truly dead and the seller started trying to pump it up by offering some actual good cards. Other than that it was trash.
I probably seem overly harsh on the platform. I have many friends who stream on there and I can vouch for them being legit and fair.
But I also am not oblivious to the over abundance of what I’d consider scams/deceptive selling on there too. So much so that I refuse to participate and happily encourage others to do the same. I can point you to a few reputable people but overall I would not recommend the site at all.
