I am considering to get rid of my Light base set shadowless booster packs in order to start buying psa 9 1st ed base set holos. So I wanted to see if you guy have an idea whats the fair market value for them today. They are short crimp(confirmed shadowless)
Most recent public sale of a Shadowless booster box was $26,400. That would make each pack worth $734 unweighed. Seeing that yours is light, I would put it at around $500.
If graded, it may sell between $700-$800.
Charizard pack art would also sell for more.
@Charizard1020 is looking to buy a Shadowless pack.
Thanks for the tag! Was surprised that box sold for so low but I wonder if it wasn’t confirmed shadowless?
And yes I’m looking for one!
It might have been the opened and rough condition of the box, or the original shill for $40,000+ in the February auction.
I also can’t remember if the box was confirmed shadowless or 50/50.
Oof yeah that looks rough. I think it was confirmed shadowless by PWCC but a lot of people were convinced it was unlimited
Thanks for the answer here. I wasnt sure about how trusting ebay sales are. sometimes they seem suspect. I actually have a art set coming back in from grading. It is taking so long. probably about 4 months so far.
how can it be confirmed shadowless besides it having long crimp?
- long crimp
- tradable card game at the bottom
- three little cards next to tradable card game
- open pack and hope for the best
- pack came from a box that was confirmed shadowless
I’m curious what a confirmed shadowless booster box would go for.
This box contained short crimp shadowless art booster packs. I think anyone who knew what they were looking at would have been put off by both the condition, but more importantly the fact the cards are not guaranteed shadowless.
The not guaranteed shadowless packs definately sell for lower.
However generally speaking most of these packs go on display in collections with sealed.
It all changes when it’s guaranteed and a heavy pack though.
I would say a heavy and guaranteed shadowless pack depending on art/weight can do between 800 and 1,5k a pack
800-1.5k is quite a big spread. what “heavy” weight would constitute a $800 price? and are you speaking on long crimp or short?
yea that makes sense. Is there a assumed number on the odds of short crimp packs being shadowless. like it it 1/3 times it is shadowless, or 2/3 is shadowless?
Honestly I don’t think there’s been a large enough sample size to give an informed opinion. I really dislike when people say there’s 1:3 chance at shadowless… if it’s short crimp pack art it’s really anybody’s guess, and anyone who says otherwise is misleading you. The only sure fire way to tell the contents are shadowless is to avoid loose booster packs, and either obtain a box from a case where other boxes have been opened and confirmed shadowless, or open the box and one pack, and then have it sealed up again for a rainy day
yea I see what you’re saying. I got my shadowless packs (short crimp) from a original owner of the box. I wouldn’t have paid very much if I didnt have confirmation.
I’m speaking about guaranteed shadowless packs. A lose heavy pack I would pay on the lower end of my scale, while a boxbreak guaranteed shadowless and heavy I would pay on the top end of my scale
How much probably?
