Not going to mention any names, but this guy made his money through crypt…errr “foreign” currency and came into the hobby.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not salty because he’s trying to hype up prices on Base and 1st Ed Base. I was fortunate to get the majority of my big ticket items a couple years ago.
There’s just something about this “viral” style of posting that makes it feel like he’s trying to get unsuspecting buyers into his pyramid or MLM scheme by promising that investments will double by Christmas.
I don’t know, maybe part of me wishes it was Gary, or smpratte, or literally ANYONE ELSE from E4 that was Logan Paul’s expert during the box break since they have genuine interest.
It’s really rare that literally everything a person does makes me cringe, but maybe it’s just the public face.
If I weren’t in the hobby because I love Pokemon, this guy would make me rage quit.
He’s a pump and dumper. If he or anyone else in life actually affects your mental health or happiness, just block them/ignore them and be done with it.
Yeah that’s true. Mostly just wanted to vent my frustration because it feels super scammy. Haha ok, maybe I am a little salty that some new people in the hobby are gravitating toward him because they don’t know any better
@collector91, honestly, if he makes you mad, block him or don’t follow him. It’s literally not worth your time and emotional sanity seeing his stuff (assuming this is bulbasaur 30k). Me personally, I just laugh anytime I see his stuff come up. He knows he’s full of it and so do we. There are way better things to spend your time on
Things are in flux right now in the hobby. It might be this way forever, in which case it’s time to adapt. It also might not, in which case the ones who are genuinely into the hobby will stay and the others will leave. Only time will tell who is who.
