Hi All,
I have seen random prices lately, i am wondering how much would a complete English southern islands set in the folder with the original postcards be worth now.
Thanks

They are truly all over the place. If you’re looking to sell, I recommend throwing it on eBay with good pictures and an engaging description. Put it at $200 BIN and wait it out.
They come up a lot for buyers in the $100 range, but it is a key nostalgic collection piece that people are not often patient with. You’re looking to snag that sale from the impatient person when there isn’t anything else in the market. You’ll also get the chance to undercut those untouched $225 auctions, so they may think they’re getting a deal with your listing.
If you are looking to purchase, just hop on once a day and search for it. There’s never more than a page of listings in my experience. Especially if you throw “-Japanese” at the end of your search. Every couple months at the longest a BIN or unpopular auction appears with a more desirable price tag. They don’t really dip below $100 and I would say confidently that is the low end value. It is also a good piece to simply hold onto.
I’ve got a set on my page for MINT $80 aud, no bids. no binder though. Prices are all over the place yeah.
dang, I sold my mint set around January for about 60USD
Ah. I forgot to clarify. Everything I mentioned was for sealed. Sealed means everything for these cards. Trash resale value if opened.
I was actually looking at Southern Islands binders myself because I was considering buying it to get a sealed set, but the prices ranged from $80 to almost $300. Frankly it’s not a very rare set, so I don’t see it going for very much.
The Japanese version goes for about the same amount on Ebay, but I’ve seen it WAY lower on Y!Auctions. TBH I’d probably pay $100 - $150 for a sealed set.
