Agreed especially considering legendary and Skyridge boxes both looked mint condition both were steals. Legendary has been selling for mid to lower $200s per pack while Skyridge mid to higher 200s so that’s probably why he priced them so close. I had a chance to buy both but just didn’t have the money !
The awkward moment when you realise he has pellets of lc and skyridge remaining. Ex wotc employee and arguably two of the worst selling sets could mean this is a reality.
I saw these both but didn’t have the money for them. It’s intereating because I was able to grab 1st ed. Neo Destiny packs for $120 yesterday and the same seller sold another one for $75. It seems like a good time to be buying right now.
Probably in the $8-10k range, which is crazy since last fall they were going for half that. What happened is the price of booster packs skyrocketed while the cards barely saw any growth at all.
If someone needs that box for their collection, it sure won’t get any cheaper. The thing is there are thousands of collectors that have $200-1000 to spend on loose packs and I have a feeling they will start dictating the price on some of these boxes. It remains to be seen how much of a premium a box can earn over loose packs.
Someone on instagram recently opened a box and sold the packs for $275~ (pretty sure) each and they sold out. He got roughly $9900 for the box in this case
I would say 10k is not a bad price for the box, considering all those weighed packs on the market are selling for just a tad under untampered packs. a little bit more work, but as a buyer, how much premium would you put on a pack that you know has a fair 1/3 chance of being a heavy pack compared to one that might be 1/100 that would be a loose pack?
Good to know. I actually contacted the seller and he had another skyridge box, which I picked up. He has some other stuff. A couple other boxes but no hoard of skyridge etc…
