Hey guys thanks for the replies. I still have not opened 3 of the 5 packs which i weighed myself to check. what would be the most humane thing to do with these since i know they are non holos. i was thinking to have them PSA graded so there capsuled as more of a display piece.
Also i watched a few openings of the Japanese expedition booster boxes and noted down all the pulls. On average it is a 1:2 ratio. meaning out of the booster box , in this case 40 packs, 20 of those are going to holos. The are 3 non holos maximum in a row.
So you opened 2 packs and assumed they were all weighed or you just weighed them as soon as you received them?
Almost everything is weighed on ebay⌠You can flip them back for what you paid if youâre that bothered by it or just open them. I donât know how much these go for, but pack grading is fairly expensive and I wouldnât recommend it. Your packs will get destroyed anyway.
You can also just keep them for years and they will appreciate in value.
???
You cannot use sealed box maths on loose packs.
Thatâs like saying a car goes 100 kmph, so each tire goes 25kmph.
Face it mate. You bought packs off eBay where 99.99% of them are weighted by max openers hunting just the holos. Now you feel ripped off while as I said before, you always have to assume every loose pack on eBay is weighted. Just crack those packs you still got left or throw them in the trash. Reselling and stitching someone up with weighted boosters makes you as bad or even worse as the guy that sold them to you.
Also claiming you weighted the packs before opening makes me question your credibilityâŚ
i bought them opened two and decided to weigh them to see if they where all non holos. weighing them does not automatically make you wrong, i only did it to protect myself as a counter measure to see if i have been stitched up.
what is wrong is to put them back on the market selling them knowing that they are weighed. that is something i will not do and have never done.
which is why i asked, what is the most humane thing to do with them i.e return 3 to the seller or just open them and count them as a loss
Only if they auction description doesnât say anything about items being weighted you might have a shot at an eBay claim, but they will most likely reject because you only opened 2/5 packs. Theyâre not stupid at eBays and know packs have small pull rates for valuable cards.
Selling them off, even with proper description, will bite you in the ass because not everybody reads and tries to scam you via same method; going to eBay and selling packs were weighted and they got nothing out of it.
Did the seller even guarantee they were unweighed? If he didnât, the sale was just for 5 packs and you got what you paid for
If he did guarantee they were unweighed, there is still a chance that you just got unlucky considering the small sample size
in either situation I donât think you deserve a return
My sentiments exactly. If you bought 50 packs and all of them were non-holos, something fishy is going on. But 5 packs meant that you could have just been unlucky. You can always resell it, but if I were you I would just cut my losses.
