Ebay buyer's remorse new trend?

I think buyers are entitled to their opinion on the cards, and if they no longer want it within 30 days what’s the problem?

In regards to @kaldoverde, exact issues with buyers,

I’ve never even heard of #1 ever being a complaint,

#2/3/4 can be simply explained that is a common feature of a PSA card and has no effect on the card condition itself,

In my personal experience, I have very few customers bring up any of the above points, some buyers expect more, in that case just accept return for refund and move on to the next customer, I wouldn’t let it bother you in the slightest,

I worry more about mail fraud & buyer’s blackmailing about leaving bad/neutral feedback if not given partial refund etc…

I think that you are greggroudon, aren’t you?
I really appreciated your courtesy yesterday, as you checked personally the PSA case/card of the secret wonders blastoise.

For example I think that you behaved perfectly, I asked the questions that I had, and you have answered kindly and quickly.
If every buyer and every seller would talk like us, this would be a perfect world ahah  .

If you are not him, well I will delete this message .

Some bidders are crazy. I had a buyer return a PSA 6 1st Ed. Blastoise to me because he said there was too much silvering and that PSA would never grade a card with silvering a 6. Really, really strange.

I am him indeed! Thanks for the compliment and this is a perfect example of how eBay transactions should happen!

I am not surprised of your compliments of Connor, he is a stand out guy. I asked him about 15 stupid questions about his psa grading service, which i know would annoy most. But no, it didn’t phase him :sunglasses:

On to the topic in question, I agree these are all buyers remorse. I once bought a base charmander psa 10, but the damage to the case was not pinpointed at all, a deep scratch on the back of the slab. I messaged the seller, just to let him know it had been damaged (maybe en route as no reverse picture was provided), and he offered me a partial refund to go towards a reholdering. That was a great thing and we have dealt with many times since. I could easily have requested a return, so I feel this comparison proves the buyers above were buyers remorse.

Not trying to sidetrack this convo at all but I’ve met nitpicky buyers of all ages. And after working in retail for awhile when I was in High School, I can safely say that if anything, the older folks are much worse.

This reminds me of the jackass that forced a return when he claimed the PSA case for a PSA 7 gyarados was “slightly” warped. Cost me a bundle because he was in Canada. BLOCKED FOREVER!

Lol. Don’t get me started on eBay reasons for returns haha…

Over 11 years trading, I’ve heard it all pretty much.

— oh my kid bought this, and went through PayPal, and now I don’t want it.

— oh, I bidded on a card, paid, shipped, came in, and now I can see it cheaper elsewhere. Give me a refund.

Best one I can think of which happened was…

— oh there is a shadow on the card from your camera, I thought it was a misprint or error card. Please give me refund.

it’s funny how i hear way more complaints about buyers than sellers…

I assume this is coming from a perspective where you think there are a lot of bad sellers? And they aren’t talked about enough?

I mean there are. Most certainly. They aren’t nearly as big of an issue and therefore not talked about nearly as much. Becase you can spot them by their poor feedback. You can hold them liable for bad actions with poor feedback. They can’t just create a new account with no loss to them like bad buyers can. You have recourse against them via buyers protections etc. So they just don’t make big stories as it is so much easier to deal with a bad seller than a bad buyer.

If only ebay still allowed to leave negative feedback for buyers…would make a lot of sellers life easier. It’s so dumb and biased that sellers can only leave positive feedback for them

It would be so satisfying to leave a negative fb for those clowns who bid on your items and come up with the shitty excuses like “sry I can’t pay for this item, my cat walked on my keyboard and accidentally placed a bid” etc.

no, i mean the opposite. i have not really met bad sellers, but i’ve been disappointed and angered by so many buyers. it’s precisely because ebay creates an ecosystem where bad buyers will thrive, because they want to create more demand than supply to attract sellers, which is essentially this little hell hole we are in. i’ve been selling more lately than buying, and i’ve learned many lessons along the way, including the biggest one that we are out there fending for ourselves. ebay gives zero cent about us, only insofar as they get their cut of the cheese. i mean why can’t we leave feedback for the buyer!?!??!!

Years ago we could. I used to demand 10 minimum positive feedback so the buyer had something to protect. NEVER had any problems at all.
